Overall Crime on the Rise in Pasadena in 2013
Rapes, assaults and homicides have all gone up.
The crime rate in Pasadena overall in 2013 has risen by 14 percent through October, according to monthly statistics released this week by the Pasadena Police Department.
Among the details:
- Rapes are up 9 percent over last October
- Vehicle burglaries posted a 31 pecent increase
- Thefts are up 24 percent
- Three homicides have been reported in 2013, compared to two all of 2012
- Assaults and assaults with a deadly weapon) are up 2 percent
- Robberies dropped 15 percent.
