4th of July in Pasadena: Fireworks, 4-Cent Sangria, Poolside BBQ, Free Music

Memorial Park Festival and Free Concert

Levitt Pavilion continues its free Memorial Park (85 E. Holly St.) summer concerts with a July 4 festival and live music. A festival with KidZone and a Luckman sidestage begins at 6:30 p.m. Americana music by Carolyn Wonderland begins at 8 p.m. http://carolynwonderland.com

A food court will include Don Chow taco truck, Soft Peaks Confections and Lemonade Brigade, or bring your own picnic.

Rose Bowl Americafest

The granddaddy of them all. A festival with food and games for kids starts at 2 p.m. Live TNT motorcycle stunts and a special performance by Mariachi Divas & Kenny G starts at 7 p.m. Fireworks start at 9 p.m.

You can also watch the fireworks show from outside the stadium in the parking lot or on the golf course along with many others that camp out for the day.

Langham Hotel Poolside BBQ

The Langham Huntington Hotel (1401 S. Oak Knoll Ave.) will offer their Summer BBQ menu for lunch and dinner at The Hideaway Pool Bar, including: Slow Smoked Brisket; Grilled Chicken; BBQ Pork Ribs; BBQ Pulled Mushroom Sandwich; Grilled Fish Tacos; Grilled Hot Dogs; and Grilled Burgers, with an assortment of seasonal sides and decadent desserts. The BBQ menu is available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

The Hideaway Pool Bar will also feature $6 Happy Hour drink specials on signature cocktails such as the 81 calorie Veev Light, the Mango Tango Margarita, Peach Sangria, Bacardi Blast, Hendrix Smash and The Huntington.

4-Cent Sangria

The Luggage Room Pizzeria (260 S. Raymond Ave.) and its next-door neighbor La Grande Orange Café will be pouring a glass of their white sangria for 4 cents on July 4 with purchase of an entree. The deal applies to one glass per customer. LGO opens at 11 a.m. and The Luggage Room opens at noon.
