The first-ever Old Pasadena Farmers' Market kicked off at 9 a.m. Sunday on Holly Street and Fair Oaks Avenue and Patch was there.

See our photos as we walked around the market attached to this post.

The first 250 people at the certified market received free tote bags emblazoned with the market's colorful, vintage-looking logo designed by noted local illustrator Paul Rogers. We managed to snag one but then the free bags were gone by 9:18 a.m., Patch overheard someone at the welcome tent tell a patron. You can buy one for $5.

Vendors sold everything from baked goods (vegan and otherwise) to organic cold-pressed juice to local, organic, sustainable produce, fish, jams, eggs, hummus, flowers and much more.

The market goes until 2 p.m. Sunday. If you're taking the Metro, exit Memorial Park station.
