I always get excited about this huge event that showcases Pasadena and draws an estimated 1 million tourists. It’s such a great -- and beautiful -- example of how our community works together to stage something incredible!

Nothing else puts Pasadena front and center on the world stage like the Tournament of Roses. Going since 1902, it’s become quite a tradition. And beyond the sponsors that help finance it, the dedicated Tournament of Association Foundation members who pour hours and hours of volunteer time into it and the organizations that build floats -- you, the average citizen -- can also contribute in a very fun way.

Contribute to Tournament of Roses with float decoration

Each year, the Tournament float-builders need help decorating floats. This gives Pasadena residents, and those from surrounding areas, an opportunity to jump in and be a part of something big for their region. Visit the tournament’s  float decoration page for contact information about float builders for volunteers. The La Canada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Association and the South Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association are among the float builders the public can contact about helping.

Besides a great chance to volunteer and contribute to the Tournament of Roses, you also get an up-close look at some amazing, beautiful floats! That’s a win-win.
