Washington Middle School and Washington Accelerated Elementary School were evacuated Wednesday afternoon after a bomb threat was phoned in to police, according to message sent out by Pasadena Unified officials.
Following a search of several hours, law enforcement determined there were no explosive devices on the premises of the schools, according to a message sent out by the school district.
The bomb threat was called in between 1:30 and 2 p.m., Pasadena Police Lt. Jari Faulkner said.
"It was close to the end of the school day anyway," Faulkner said.
Police have not found any suspicious devices but continued to search the school shortly after 4 p.m., Faulkner said.
