A man who was gunned down over the weekend in Pasadena was identified Monday as a 35-year-old Monrovia resident, but his killer remained at large.
Tyrone English was shot at 8:42 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of North Mar Vista Avenue, according to Lt. Tracey Ibarra of the Pasadena Police Department. He died at the scene.
A witness said the victim was standing alone when the unidentified gunman approached. English started to run, but fell nearby and was shot two or three more times while lying in the street, investigators said. He died while a woman held him in her arms.
The shooting may have been gang-related, according to police.
