Two Alleged Gang Members Charged With Murder in Fatal Christmas Car Crash

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office filed murder charges against two alleged gang members involved in a car chase on Christmas that resulted in two deaths.

Two local alleged gang members were charged with murder Friday for their roles in a car chase and crash on Christmas day that resulted in the deaths of two people, according to prosecutors.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office charged Darrell Lee Williams, 22 and Brittany Michellle Washington, 21, with murder for allegedly leading police on a chase that culminated in a fatal crash.

"Williams allegedly was driving a silver Dodge Durango with Washington in the front passenger seat and two other people inside when it failed stop for police," a news release from the office states. "A brief high-speed chase ended when the SUV slammed into a van near the Foothill (210) Freeway ramp and Marengo Avenue."

Van passengers Tracey Ongtan, 25, of Glendale, and Kendrick Ng, 11, of Daly City were both killed on impact and three other passengers were seriously injured.

In addition to the murder counts, Williams and Washington were each charged with three counts each of assault with a deadly weapon and one count each of felon in possession of a firearm. They are scheduled for arraignment in a Pasadena courtroom Friday.
