Man Seriously Injured in Apartment Fire

The man was one of three people evaluated for smoke inhalation at a Pasadena apartment fire Saturday night.

A 67-year-old man was seriously injured in a bedroom
fire at an apartment building in Pasadena, a fire official said today.   

Firefighters were dispatched to 303 N. Hill Ave. at 9:15 p.m. Saturday
where they saw a bedroom fire on the second floor of the structure, said Lisa
Derderian of the Pasadena Fire Department.

Three occupants were evaluated for smoke inhalation. Two were released
at the scene and the third, the 67-year-old man, was transported to an area
hospital, Derderian said.

The fire caused $50,000 worth of damage to the structure and $10,000 to
its contents, she said, adding that the cause was under investigation.
