The distribution takes place at the Los Angeles County Arboretum at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

Operation Gobble is a joint philanthropic venture between California water companies and local state legislators that is set to deliver an estimated 30,000 turkeys to families in need throughout the state this Thanksgiving holiday. Golden State works in partnership with local elected officials who offer expertise in directing the donations to community food banks, churches and other non-profit organizations.

Help Deliver Thanksgiving Dinner: The Volunteer Center of San Gabriel Valley’s Community Harvest Program encourages you to share the bounty of your fruit trees with those in need in your community.  You can also call them to become part of the Meals on Wheels program, volunteering to deliver food to those homebound during the holiday. Call (626) 256-8187.

The Foothill Unity Center is also looking for help delivering food to the homebound in Pasadena or Monrovia on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 9am - 1pm. Call Albert at (626) 359-1777 or email albert@foothillunitycenter.org.
