For more than 120 years the Rose Parade has rung in the new year with intricately-decorated floats, music and sports.
You can catch an up-close glimpse of the floats at designated times and locations before or after the parade held on Jan. 1.
The 2013 parade theme is "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" borrowed from children's book author Dr. Seuss.
Tickets to see the floats can be purchased for $10 per person and are limited to venue capacity. Children 5 years old and under are free.
Thousands of people from all over are expected to attend, read our Rose Parade 2013 Parking Guide to find convenient places to park.

I was at the game in 1972 and also the year the Indians won it in 1971 with Jim Plunkett and the Stanford offensive line dominated Jim Stillwagon and the vaunted D-line from Ohio State under Woody Hayes in a 27-17 win for Stanford U.
Thanks
And right about 9pm going E on Huntington Drive and Rosemead Blvd, CHP lead and local cops shut down as 5+ floats drive by on their way to their homes E bound.
