The Langham Huntington, Pasadena to Support Earth Hour 2014 by Encouraging Guests to Turn off Lights and Enjoy Specials in The Tap Room

WHAT:At 8:30 p.m. local time on Saturday, March 29, people around the world will be turning off their lights for an hour as a show of support for taking action on climate change.

 
The Langham Huntington, Pasadena is encouraging all guests to turn off the lights in their rooms and come down to The Tap Room to support Earth Hour. The Langham Huntington, will also dim as many lights as possible in the common areas, leaving essential safety lighting on.

 
The Tap Room will offer drink specials and low-lighting in the bar on Saturday, March 29 from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy an “Organic Veev Margarita” for $10, or a glass of Organic Jules Taylor Sauvignon Blanc or Ferrari-Carano Siena for $7.  Pricing is not inclusive of tax and gratuity.

OTHER:Earth Hour is a global initiative in partnership with World Wildlife Fund. Individuals,businesses, governments and communities are invited to turn out their lights for one hour on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 8:30 p.m. to show their support for environmentally sustainable action. The event began in Sydney in 2007, when 2 million people switched off their lights. By 2010, Earth Hour had created history as the largest voluntary action ever witnessed with participation across 128 countries and territories and every continent, including the world’s most recognized man-made marvels and natural wonders in a landmark environmental action.
