Villa Sorriso and Bar Celona Restaurants Merge

Villa Sorriso's former home on Colorado Boulevard was recently transformed into a Japanese restaurant.

On the heels of Colorado Boulevard staple Villa Sorriso being transformed into Japanese restaurant 168 under the same owner, the Italian eatery is living on in the space formerly known as Bar Celona restaurant (46 E. Colorado).

On Sunday, diners were seen at an establishment now called Sorriso Restorante & Bar, which had a poster proclaiming it was the "best of both cuisines" from Bar Celona and Villa Sorriso. The space looks the same, including the Bar Celona lounge and bar with big screen TVs located to the right.

Sorriso, Bar Celona, Ix-tapa and new restaurant 168, all located on the main Colorado Boulevard drag, are owned by Jack Huang.

Bar Celona's website says the menu is currently under revision but when Patch walked by Sunday we noticed a mostly Italian menu displayed out front.
