Updated: St. Patrick's Day Weekend in Pasadena

Live music, Irish food and green drinks of all sorts are just part of the St. Patrick's Day festivities in Pasadena this weekend. What are your plans?

St. Patrick's Day is Sunday and there is not a shortage of ways to celebrate and get your Irish on throughout the weekend.

Shamrock-n-Roll at The Playhouse - Sunday, March 17

1-10 p.m.

The sixties and St. Patty's will collide at the Shamrock-n-Roll at The Playhouse Sunday. To celebrate the opening of "One Night With Janis Joplin" at the Pasadena Playhouse, bands like Dread Zeppelin, Cerny Brothers, Shillaly Brothers and Aquarius will perform free concerts in the Playhouse courtyard.

A Stone Brewing Company beer garden, food trucks, the Cherry Boom Boom 60s dancers, art show by Zona Rosa Caffe, Little Junebugs crafting and a photo opp with Janis Joplin's psychadelically painted 1965 Porsche are also in store.

See more info about the event here.

Beer Tasting at ArcLight Pasadena

The tasting will feature specialty craft beers from local favorites including Stone Brewing, Co., Eagle Rock Brewery, Great Divide and Coronado Brewing Co. Representatives from Stone Brewing Distribution will be in the café on Saturday, March 16, from 2 – 6 p.m. and Sunday, March 17, from noon to 4 p.m. Moviegoers can purchase a four-taster flight for $10, choose a flight paired with their favorite cafe menu item for $16 or purchase a single pint for $8. The café will also offer these specialty brewery picks throughout the weekend for guests unable to attend a tasting event.

St. Patty's Food, Live Music at Langham Tap Room

If you're looking for a more luxurious, less raucous St. Patrick's Day setting, the Tap Room at the Langham Huntington Hotel has got your number, but still has something for those craving St. Patty's indulgence. Corned beef sliders, and a bacon "Paddy" whiskey cocktail are on the specials menu and upbeat jazz starts Friday and Saturday night at 9 p.m.
