Several businesses near Lake Avenue and California Boulevard were evacuated Sunday morning due to a ruptured one-inch gas line.

A Starbucks, a yoga studio and a nail salon as well as about six residents from apartments above the businesses were included in the evacuation said Lisa Derderian of the Pasadena Fire Department. The rupture was due to construction in the area.

The fire department was dispatched to the scene at 8:30 a.m.

The westbound lane of California Boulevard between Lake and Hudson avenues has been shut down for an undetermined amount of time, she said. No injuries were reported.
