The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for portions of Southwest California Monday, including the Pasadena area.
The strongest winds are expected to hit the mountains and below passes and canyons of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.
Winds north to northeast from 15 to 25 miles per hour are expected. Gusts could reach 45 miles per hour through the late afternoon.
These winds can create dangerous driving conditions and may cause downed power lines or trees, according to NWS.
The advisory ends at 4 p.m. Monday but higher winds will continue through mountains and canyons through Tuesday morning.
