Two Homes, Five Vehicles Destroyed by Fire

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the blaze.

PASADENA (CNS) - A fire inside an attached garage damaged two homes and five vehicles in Pasadena today, and caused about $200,000 in damage, a fire department spokeswoman said.

The blaze inside an attached garage at a home on the 300 block of Linda Rosa Avenue, just south of the Foothill (210) Freeway, broke out about 4:50 a.m., said Pasadena Fire Department spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.

"The flames spread to a second nearby home and was knocked down in about 20 minutes,'' Derderian said.

"In addition to the damage to the two homes the fire also heavily damaged three motorcycles, a truck and one car," Derderian said. "We estimate the blaze caused $100,000 damage to the contents and another $100,000 damage to the two homes."

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remained under investigation by the Pasadena Fire Department, Derderian added.
