On Wednesday November 13, Nydia Durazo, Training/Human Resources Manager of The Langham Huntington Pasadena, was an industry guest speaker at Vatel International Business School in Los Angeles for a core course called “Introduction to American Human Resources Management” taught by Jeff Schieberl J.D. MBA. The students were all international MBA students studying tourism and hotel management. Durazo spoke about her role at The Langham, specifically her focus on training and recruitment, detailing some of the practical applications of human resources management in a hotel environment. The Langham has a standing relationship with Vatel, offering 6-month internships to approximately three qualified foreign students each year in food and beverage departments. Durazo’s visit to the Vatel campus was an opportunity for The Langham to make a contribution to the students in this prestigious MBA program by imparting industry knowledge.
