A Hidden Risk For Seniors - Dehydration

Keeping yourself hydrated may sound like a simple task, but for the elderly who might have mobility or cognitive issues, hydration may not be the easiest task to accomplish. Additionally, dehydration can also be a side effect of many medication they are taking.  Furthermore, aging could make people less aware of thirst.

If there is not body fluids, then your body may not function properly.  For example, it could lower your kidney function, hindering your ability to remove toxins from your body.  It could also lead to dangerously low blood pressure, severe cramping, rapid but weak pulse, and other symptoms.

With our safety monitoring services, caregivers from A-1 Home Care can make sure your loved ones are  properly hydrated.  We understand that in addition to drinking water, meals that include food like cucumber, iceberg lettuce, celery, or other foods that have high water content can also help hydrate a person.

Our company is also proud to provide services in Alzheimer's Care, Parkinson's Care, Arthritis Care, Kidney Disease Care, After Surgery Care, and other in home care needs.  We have 20+ years of experience serving clients in Pasadena, Altadena, Arcadia, San Marino, and surrounding areas in the San Gabriel Valley.
