An Altadena man was arrested Saturday night for allegedly attempting to carjack three drivers in Pasadena, according to police.

Cory Howard Macy, 27, allegedly walked into the street near the intersection of Holliston Avenue and Elizabeth Street at about 5:24 p.m. and flagged down a 73-year-old woman as she drove up, Pasadena police officer Lt. Jason Clawson told Patch.

The woman stopped and Macy allegedly tried to open her driver-side door, which was locked, Police said.

“He yelled ‘Give me your car,’” Clawson said. “And then the woman drove off.”

Two other drivers reported an attempted carjacking near the intersection of Sierra Benita Avenue and Asbury Drive, where police apprehended Macy with minor “road rash” injuries, Clawson said.

Macy allegedly jumped on the third driver’s vehicle and was thrown from it when the 48-year-old man drove away, according to police.

The alleged would-be carjacker was held on $100,000 bail at the Pasadena Police Department's jail, The Pasadena Star reported.

Police said each of the drivers were able to avoid being victimized by having their doors locked.
